Pro Tools Compatibility

Postby truelight » 31.01.2008 03:41

I was wondering what Prosoniq plugins were compatible with Pro Tools HD 7.4. The information isnt listed anywhere on Prosoniq's website, and when I emailed them about it, the response was

"Hello,

thank you for your interest in our products.

There are no known incompatibilities with ProTools 7 and our RTAS plug
ins. However, our RTAS products are currently PPC only and don't work
on Intel Macs.

If there's anything else we can help you with please don't hesitate to
ask

Kind regards
The PROSONIQ Support/Info Team"

So I went ahead and purchased the rtas version of Morph, planning to buy others if Morph worked. However, I can't find Morph in Pro Tools anywhere, I triple checked even in the audiosuite lists, but the plugin isn't there. The .dpm file is in the library/application support/digidesign/plugin folder, and I'm using a ppc mac.

Does anyone have any advice? Is morph not compatible with Pro Tools 7.x? I emailed Prosoniq immediately about this and I'm waiting for a response, I was wondering if anyone on these forums could help me in the meanwhile. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

morph RTAS works as expected here in PT HD 7.3.xcsx on a G5 running OSX 10.4.9

I'm currently waiting for my PT 7.4 to arrive to check wether 7.4 has issues with Morph.....which it shouldn't unless the rtas implementation has changed under the hood.

When Pro Tools launches we can see that it sees the plugin in the plugin folder, we just can't find it in the inserts list when we want to pull it up as an insert. What category is it supposed to be listed under? Do you have any suggestions as to how we can pull the plugin up? We're running a G5 mac with Mac OS 10.4.9, with Pro Tools HD 7.4.

thanks for the help :)

Not sure if this has something to do with it, but you need a stereo bus to insert morph in...

Also, I'm not sure what the .dpm file is you're talking about. The name of the morph RTAS Plugin is "Morph RTAS", no extension. Most recent version is 1.01, file size is 1,127,276 bytes.

We did make sure to look in the stereo section. The file is named "Morph RTAS". I even tried making a copy of the plugin and adding the .dpm extension, which didn't work either. I also tried installing on a different computer (Intel iMac) that runs Pro Tools LE 7.3, I know Intel isn't currently supported but I thought maybe it would at least show up in the inserts list, which it didn't. What category should it be listed under? Modulation, effect?

thank you again!

actually as it turns out, we solved the problem. We downloaded some demos of some mastering plugins from other companies, and when I launched Pro Tools it said our Pace interlok software needed to be updated for the plugin demos i was trying. So I updated that, restarted Pro Tools, and discovered Morph!

No, morph RTAS only works on PPC machines.

RTAS and VST products as well as new AudioUnit versions are expected to be available at the end of 2010...
there they go again : Dlaying the release date - It is always the same with prosoniq. Obviously they are definatly unable to respect the first annonced schedule... imagine we would do the same with clients in music
and do not tell me excuses like it is because it is so hard to program in cocoa, we hadn't seen the wind changing et bla et bla

i am fed up with this crap
without me this time

adios

This is an independent forum and we do not act or speak on Prosoniq's behalf. We expect you to behave appropriately - posting a complaint multiple times (I removed 4 out of 5 identical messages) in this tone and manner is not something we consider appropriate behaviour. If you have a problem with Prosoniq we recommend you get in touch with them directly as they are the ones deciding about their priorities.
