KX series sound banks for Terratec Komplexer | ||
The Komplexer is a surprisingly versatile Synth, featuring three oscillators with suboscillators and FM capability (including the possibility of feedbackloops in the FM path and oscillators modulating their own frequency), two of which have wavetable capabilities, dual pan-able hpf/bpf/lpf/notch/comb filters with serial/parallell routing and drive, a flexible routing matrix and, last but not least, macro knobs that can be assigned to up to four destinations each.....this is indeed a complex tool, yet with properly assigned macro knobs an easy-to-tweak synth. |

KX01: Wormhole To HellNeed an atmo for that haunted reactor room? As its name implies, this set of 64 sounds focuses on SciFi- and Horror-style drones , atmospheres and SFX. A must-have for anyone into sound design for movies, games or music styles like ambient or industrial.

Sound designers Denis Goekdag and Don Petersen meticuously crafted every single sound in this release to be drastically modifiable by using the "Expression", "Character", "Warp" and "Effect" macro knobs of the Komplexer GUI. Each of these knobs will morph the sound into something completely different, or blend between two "scenes"......effectively turning the sounds into "arrays of sounds" at your fingertips. There have been rumours that the sound designers manipulated and hybridised genetic material of different kinds of demons, imps, hellhounds and gargoyles and implanted that stuff into the speech-synthesis module of an AI onboard an ancient alien spacecraft orbiting Neptune to create these sounds..... The following 25(!!) minute long audio demo consists of about 30 of our sounds, crossfaded sequentially...all we did was load one of our sounds, hit "record" on the DAW and play a single note while turning the macro knobs manually. No layering was done, external processing applied or melodies played; what you hear is what you get. We placed a small "blip" noise at the beginning of each crossfade to help you discern what is a crossfade and what is caused by turning the macro knobs (it can be really tricky to tell, believe me ;-) ). As the file is *huge* it may take a while for playback to start after clicking the play button....we recommend keeping this page open and surfing in another tab while listening so you get to hear all of it. This set can be purchased from our shop as a download-only item. |
